Inspiration for this game came to me from one of the games of my childhood – “Lagsters” 2006.

I have remembered that the concept of the game with driving in the round tunnel and shooting other racecars was quite interesting. And years after I cannot remember any game where I would see similar gameplay.
Opponents AI
The most challenging part for me was to learn how to create simplified “Artificial intelligence” for other racecars on track; how to teach opponents to see and avoid obstacles and try to pick-up boosters.
I am sure that in the end, I have made quite a dumb opponent, but the goal was achieved: other race cars were able to move around and avoid crashes (or at least try to avoid them).
New Visual
After several versions and working on AI, I got feedback from other students and our teacher that the dark setting of underground tunnels most probably will not succeed in the Hyper Casual game.
So I have made a decision to switch focus to more SiFi setting. Cars started to fly like in well-known movies and the scene becomes much brighter.
The weapons were removed, since even creating a simple movement of opponents was a complex enough task for me to make.
Hoverbikes
The next feedback that I got was that perhaps would be a good idea to show players an actual characters. So instead of flying cars in the game came Hoverbikes.
My previous experience with rig body helped me to create simple character animation to bring life to their movements.
